The Georgetown University in Qatar Library houses the Islamic Medical and Scientific Ethics special collection in the Islamic Bioethics reading room. There are just over 450 resource on various aspects of Islamic Bioethics in the Arabic language, amongst an expanding collection.
The resources in the collection are classified according to the Bioethics Research Library Classification Scheme. The bibliographic record of each resource in the Islamic Medical and Scientific Ethics database (IMSE) includes a call number indicating its location in the Islamic Bioethics reading room at Georgetown University in Qatar (GUQ). The first part is the classification and the second part is where the resource can be found in our stacks.
Using Policy
This room also includes a PC/laptop with wireless internet, and a study area to use the resources which are for library use only. This reading room is open to all members of the public during the following hours:
- Sunday to Thursday, from 09.00 AM to 01.00 PM
